Thankfully, yoga is not a discipline that pushes aerobic exercises on you, but it will give you some self esteem. Doing yoga is just not intense. There are other types of exercise that will get your cardio up like jogging or cycling and these are great compliments to yoga. Practicing yoga improves your body and mind, flexibility and stamina. It will also reduce stress and tension something that aerobic exercise would do also. Both have advantages. It’s best to do both.
