Doing yoga at the office isn’t as difficult as you might think. Some easy yoga stretches can easily be performed at your desk simply by just sitting at your chair. Ease tension and gain more energy to your body. Sit at the end of your chair with your knees together. Bring your hands together. Inhale and lift the arms out to your side and over your head, then exhale and bring them back slowly to the start position. Deep breaths expand the chest. Feel the tension release.
If you work on a computer all day most likely you will hold tension in the neck. This trouble spot is common among office workers. A simple exercise is again to sit at the edge of your chair and drop your head to your right shoulder. Gently press your left shoulder to the floor while doing this. Hold position and feel the stretch, then move your head back to center and repeat the process by dropping your head to your left shoulder.
Another simple exercise is the shoulder stretch. Place your right hand onto your left shoulder. Then put your left hand on top of your right elbow and press the elbow toward the back of you. Repeat this yoga stretch with left hand on your right shoulder. Again press the elbow Feel the tension release.
