Kids Yoga Helps Them Sleep Better

Improve Your Child’s Concentration

Young children who don’t know how to put themselves to sleep at night will cause you to be grumpy in the morning. I know this from experience. Too often a young toddler just wants to jump in bed with mommy and daddy. Not a good idea. Sharing your bed with a toddler will cause more tossing and turning by you especially if your child is a squirmy worm. And my kid is. Yet when a nightmare pops up sometimes it’s hard to say know. So for those times you state the boundaries of what is acceptable and what is not. Usually after a nightmare my child settles down and because she knows that within a few minutes she will return to her own bed. And I will be happy to carry her.

To get my allotted sleep I make sure my child’s room is cozy and comfortable. I let her decide what her surroundings should be like. I figure if she feels safe and secure with her bedroom then she’ll want to stay there. Getting little sleep at night compromises my health, puts my mood in an awful place and zaps my energy in my work. Less sleep weakens my ability to control my body’s blood sugar, increases my blood pressure and effects my memory. Being irritable with bags under my eyes is not attractive. My body needs sleep and I’m determined to get it.
